Bob Perkins Inter-League Trophy

Bob Perkins, former secretary of the B&DJGL and member of Saltford Golf Club, resigned his position at the end of the 2011 season, after a number of years. His parting wish was to donate a cup for a league event. Following discussions with the North Gloucestershire Junior Alliance League, (NGJAL) it was decided that an annual inter-league match would take place between B&DJGL and the NGJAL. The qualifying teams to play in the event would be the winning team in each of the leagues. Bob kindly donated a cup, now known as the Bob Perkins Inter-League Trophy and the first match took place at the end of the 2012 season. Bob was unanimously voted in by the committee as Honorary President of the B&DJGL and agreed to present his trophy at the annual matches.
